Ingredients

Scale

Proteins

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 lb shrimp, deveined

Bang Bang Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (room temperature)
  • 23 tablespoons sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

Coating & Frying

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour or cornstarch (use gluten-free if desired)
  • Vegetable oil, for frying (about 1/4 cup or as needed)

Seasonings & Garnish

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the proteins: Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and devein the shrimp. Lightly season both with salt, pepper, and garlic powder for balanced flavor.
  2. Coat and fry chicken and shrimp: Lightly dredge the chicken pieces and shrimp in flour or cornstarch. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the chicken first for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside. Then, fry the shrimp for about 2 minutes per side until pink and slightly crispy.
  3. Make the Bang Bang sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, honey, and fresh lime juice until smooth and creamy. Adjust spiciness and sweetness to your liking.
  4. Combine and toss: Toss the cooked chicken and shrimp in the Bang Bang sauce until evenly coated. Garnish with thinly sliced green onions to add freshness and crunch.

Notes

  • Use room temperature mayonnaise for a smoother sauce.
  • Fry proteins in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan and keep them crispy.
  • Pat dry chicken and shrimp before coating to ensure extra crispiness.
  • Adjust sriracha quantity to control the spice level.
  • Serve immediately to maintain the crisp texture of the proteins.
  • Store leftover proteins and sauce separately to keep crispiness.
  • Reheat gently in a skillet; avoid microwaving to preserve texture.
